Covid-19 Policy
Aikido of Northampton is committed to the health and safety of its members. For this reason, we ask that class participants review our full Covid-19 policy prior to joining our indoor class. Please be prepared to present proof of vaccination prior to participation in indoor class.
This policy was created with the intention of fostering an environment best suited to keeping our dojo community members and class participants safe. By maintaining honesty and transparency in accordance with these policies, we hope that we can continue our aikido training, while also keeping everyone's health and safety in mind at all times.
In order to participate in regularly scheduled, full-contact indoor Aikido classes, participants must be up-to-date on Covid-19 vaccination. Participants should be prepared to present proof of vaccination prior to taking part in any such classes, and to sign an acknowledgement of our vaccination policy. This vaccination policy does not apply to Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am classes.
Face masks are optional, except for one week following your attendance at a large gathering outside regular daily life, and during Sunday test prep class. As weather allows, windows will be open during class time. When it is not possible to open the windows, air filters will be running during class time.
Please do not come to the dojo if you have been exposed to Covid-19 within the past seven (7) days. In the even of an exposure, we also ask that (beginning 5 days after the exposure) you take a CDC-approved PCR test, and return a negative result, or two CDC-approved rapid antigen tests at least 48 hours apart with negative results, before returning to class. Please see our current full Covid-19 policy for further details.
If you are feeling unwell, please err on the side of caution when considering whether to come to class. Please do not come to class if you have any Covid-19 symptoms.
